Traditional pneumatic thermostats are manual devices which do not allow for remote readings, diagnostics, or setpoint control. This translates to costly maintenance, wasted heating and air conditioning of unoccupied space, and inability to work with utility demand response programs.Cypress Envirosystems's patent pending Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat offers virtually the same functionality as DDC thermostats but can be installed in as little as 20 minutes for a fraction of the cost. Unlike DDC systems, building operators have the flexibility to retrofit only selected zones rather than an entire building all at once. The WPT can operate as a standalone system or can integrate with existing building automation systems such as Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, and TAC via BACnet.

Cypress Wireless Steam Trap Monitor (WSTM) WIRELESS STEAM TRAP MONITOR (WSTM)
Steam Traps are mechanical devices installed on steam pipes to remove condensate; they are needed to maintain the proper operation of steam distribution systems. According to U.S. Energy Information Administration, an average 15-25% of steam traps are leaking at any given time. Even a single small leaking steam trap would waste thousands of dollars per year. Manual dial gauges which measure pressure, temperature and airflow are found in virtually every facility including compressors, chillers, air handling units, coolant loops etc. In older buildings, gauges may be the only instrumentation available, and technicians are required to perform regular "rounds" with clipboard and pencil to log gauge data. It is a time consuming and error prone process. Cypress Envirosystems' patent pending Wireless Gauge Reader is a non-invasive device which simply clips-on to the front face of an existing gauge to capture and transmit the reading. It installs in minutes and does not require removal of the old gauges, breaking pressure seals, performing leak checks, running wires or interrupting the underlying process. This can be an expensive and time consuming exercise to install new transducers, run wires, create drawings, connect I/O panels, and configure software.

Cypress Envirosystems' Wireless Transducer Reader (BBR) is a fast and low-cost alternative to obtain baseline energy use characterization. When paired with non-invasive clamp-on current meters and clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters, the WTR can measure electrical consumption, and flow rate of chilled water or steam and transmit the data wirelessly. Installation typically takes minutes, and may be uninstalled and moved easily around a facility if needed.
